Upon completed installation and acceptance of the EULA agreement, they will be issued a free user licence for their personal use.

If it's free, why are you charging for copies?

The electronic data is free. Yet, the importance of installing SE Universal complete and free of any corruption requires the program to be replicated to a CD. Distributors may offer the CD for a fee alone or in conjunction with another purchase or promotion. Each participating SE Universal dealer has made an effort to keep the cost of replication and distribution to a minimum.

If this is internet based, then
why can't I just download the program?

The SE Universal program is an internet based software application and is offered only through participating Authorized Dealers like My Embroidery Mentor! The decision was made (because of the size and complexity of this program) that it would be in the best interest of Sierra, the participating dealers and ultimately the end user, that this free program be delivered corruption free. This software could not be guaranteed corruption free over the internet.

Eventually, you may find it somewhere on the internet for download, but any copy distributed electronically off the Sierra home site would be in question as to being complete and error free. By getting your copy from supporting distribution dealers you can ensure the best experience with the SE Universal software.

Yes, the most important are:

1. The installation, activation and use of this software
   will require a connection to the internet to use.
2. Stitch count per design is limited to 40,000 stitches.
3. Basic techincal support services is somewhat limited to
   our user group.

Stitch Era Universal will work properly in your computer if it meets the mininum characteristics listed to the right. To get a better perfomance, we recommend that you consider the Suggested Configuration column, trying that your computer meets or exceeds the specified configuration.

Stitch Era Universal has been developed to work on Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows 7 operating systems ONLY; therefore, it is essential that any of them be installed and running properly. It will not work on any Macintosh or Virtual PC environment.

The Stitch Era Universal software must not be installed in computers where the Embroidery Office Software is already installed. First you must uninstall Embroidery Office and then install Stitch Era Universal.
